Our Physicians & Staff

Oncology is used to describe the complete care of the cancer patient including diagnosis, treatment, symptom, and pain management, and general medical consideration as well as the enhancement of quality of life and psychological well being.

The medical oncologists at Frankford Hospital Cancer Center have extensive expertise in all aspects of cancer care from early detection to treatment and recovery. The physicians are board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, and are committed to providing compassionate, individualized cancer care.

Frankford Hospital Cancer Center uses a variety of approaches to fight cancer including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, and experimental treatments. The Cancer Center is part of the Jefferson Health System and works in cooperation with Jefferson's Kimmel Cancer Center. Our medical oncologists work closely with the Radiation Therapy Department of Frankford Hospital staffed by radiation oncologists who are Jefferson University Faculty. A large number of clinical research studies are available including The Jefferson Oncology Group, The Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project national trials.
