Pastoral Services

Pastoral care volunteers provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members under the care of our team. Volunteers are trained and supervised by the oncology social worker and work in conjunction with Frankford Hospital's Pastoral Care Program. Volunteers visit with patients receiving chemotherapy, and offer supportive listening and when appropriate, prayer, meditation, and discussion of spiritual concerns. Volunteers also help patients and families link with community clergy to extend the network of support.
